Graphene Oxide Nanocomposites

We supply a wide range of hybrid nanocomposites made up by graphene and other carbon materials with nanoparticles and additives of different source for industrial applications, through our partners at Gnanomat.

Gnanomat designs, develops and manufactures engineered graphene-based nanomaterials to address different industrial applications with special emphasis in Energy Storage.

Graphene – Manganese Oxide Nanoparticles

The nanocomposite has been synthesized by the formation of nanoparticles of manganese oxide in the surface of pristine graphene nanoplatelets. The product has the following composition: Mn3O4 / MnO2 20-23 %; Graphene 77-80 % and Volatiles <1%. The addition of manganese oxide nanoparticles synthesized with Gnanomat IP confers great specific capacitance (pseudocapacitance) to pure graphene.

The nanomaterial showed interesting features for applications of electrical energy storage systems as active material in supercapacitor electrodes and as a Li-ion battery anode material; and it can be used in other applications as catalyst, water purification and chemical sensing.

Graphene – Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles

The nanocomposite has been synthesized by the formation of nanoparticles of zinc oxide in the surface of pristine graphene nanoplatelets. The product has the following composition: ZnO 20-23 %, Graphene 75-77 % and Volatiles <1%. The addition of zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized with Gnanomat IP confers better electrochemical performance to pure graphene.

The nanomaterial showed interesting features for applications of electrical energy storage systems as active material in supercapacitor electrodes and as a Li-ion battery anode material; and it can be used in other applications as photocatalytic activity, photocurrent generation, catalyst and antibacterial activity.

Graphene – Silver nanoparticles

The nanocomposite has been synthesized by the formation of nanoparticles of silver in the surface of pristine graphene nanoplatelets. The product has the following composition: Ag 19-22 %, Graphene 78-81 % and Volatiles <1%.

The nanomaterial can be used in potential applications as inks on textiles for highly conductive wearable electronics, electrochemical sensors, catalytic and antibacterial activity and detection of heavy metal ions.
