On Sunday 21st September our PI-KEM Plodders 'Minion Mayhem' team completed 68 laps of Stowe Pool in Lichfield to raise funds for the Kids Village Charity.

Lichfield’s second ultramarathon, ‘One More Lap’ raises money for the charity which is set to be the UK’s first respite holiday village for sick children & their families. The village, set to be built in outside Lichfield, will be a place for children to enjoy time together with their families in nature, free from daily challenges of battling a serious illness.

Many thanks to all our PI-KEM Plodders who between them ran and plodded 8am – 8pm, through lovely sunshine to raise money for this amazing cause. Our team had a fantastic time and our bright yellow Minion outfits put a big smile on everyone involved faces!

We were no elite team, but we had lots of fun in our PI-KEM 'Banana Base' with our designated Gru Crew, Sid our Rescue Scooter, and one too many inflatable giant bananas.

Many thanks also to our support team who provided snacks, drinks, and a bacon butty or two!

Thankyou to everyone who supported the event – everyone who cheered us Minions on and all who donated.

Congratulations to everyone who took part – it was a fantastic day!

We managed to raise an amazing £1,180 in total - smashing our target and beating our last years fundraising total.

BANANA!
