Photovoltaic Chemicals

Photovoltaic chemicals are used as coatings on solar cell systems. A high proportion of these are manufactured using silicon, with a lower number using cadmium telluride or copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS).

There are benefits to using thin films in the manufacture of solar cells including:

• Cost-effectiveness: The thin films solar cells can be produced at a lower cost as less material is needed, and the process is simpler
• Flexibility and Lightweight: Making them more appropriate for a wider range of uses including building integrated photovoltaics and portable devices
• Improved low-light performance: More efficient light-absorption across a broader range of wavelengths

Working with LTS enables us to offer to provide photovoltaics to match the requirements of our customers. LTS will provide technical support and advice about composition, manufacturing methods and any potential issues that may arise.
